BROADGRAIN COMMODITIES ESTABLISHES TRADING OPERATIONS IN BUENOS AIRES, ARGENTINA

BroadGrain Commodities, a leading Canadian-based global marketer of agri-products sourced around the world, is pleased to announce that it will be opening a new trading and origination office in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The office will open in June 2017 and will initially be operated by an experienced eight-person team with a solid track record of performance in the Argentinian agri-commodity market.

“This is a very exciting opportunity for BroadGrain as it supports our strategy of global and commodity diversification. While we have been buyers of Argentinian grain for many years, this new operation will now connect our destination markets with strong local origination capabilities in one of our key sourcing markets. The office represents BroadGrain’s first physical presence in South America and bringing in a high performing, fully functional team will allow us to hit the ground running and quickly grow our footprint.  In addition, the Argentina market presents an excellent opportunity to expand our specialty crops group, adding a key new geography to existing origination capabilities in North America, Africa and Asia” commented Zaid Qadoumi, BroadGrain’s President and Chief Executive Officer.

“We are very pleased to join the BroadGrain team and combine our knowledge of local Argentinian origination with BroadGrain’s unique demand network overseas.  We look forward to contributing to and being a part of BroadGrain’s continued growth and success” added Eduardo Yvorra, Head of BroadGrain Argentina.

Toronto, Canada – June 11, 2025 — In support of the World Health Organization’s World Food Safety Day, Broadgrain Canada proudly joined the global food industry in recognizing the importance of food safety standards and promoting a culture of quality and awareness across its facilities.

Observed this year on June 7th, World Food Safety Day is a key moment to highlight the critical role that strong food safety practicesplay in protecting public health and ensuring trust in food supply chains. Broadgrain Canada celebrated the occasion on Monday, June 9th across its facilities, bringing teams together for a variety of onsite activities aimed at raising awareness and engaging staff.

The celebrations included interactive games and contests, themed signage displayed throughout facilities, and team gatherings designed to spark conversation and reflection on best practices in food safety. In some locations, catered meals brought an added sense of community to the day, reinforcing the shared responsibility every team member holds in upholding food safety and quality.

“World Food Safety Day offers a valuable opportunity to recognize the efforts of our team members who work daily to ensure that food safety remains a top priority,” said a Broadgrain spokesperson. “It’s more than a compliance measure—it’s about creating a culture where food safety is second nature to everyone, from operations to logistics.”

Broadgrain’s participation reflects its ongoing commitment to excellence and safety in every step of its supply chain. By aligning with international awareness efforts, the company reinforces its dedication to meeting the highest standards in food manufacturing and distribution.
