We are currently seeking a Customer Service and Scale Clerk for our Brinston location. Reporting to the Plant Manager, the responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to:

• Responsible for office reception and answers and directs calls in friendly and timely manner.
• Dispatching, tracking and reception of commercial documents via domestic courier
• Conducts inbound and outbound computerized truck releases
• Grain Grading
• Filing of invoices, settlements and contracts
• Maintaining paperwork for IP program
• Assist with HACCP/CPRIS programme and maintain files
• Making tags
• Shipping of samples to appropriate labs with appropriate paperwork
• Order office supplies as required
• Availability to work overtime, including weekends
• Direct traffic to loading bins and pits

Key qualifications would include
• 5 years of reception/data entry experience
• Experience in Customer Service
• Grain Grading knowledge would be an asset
• Ability to think quickly and make logical decisions
• Strong proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Ability to meet changing priorities in a fast-paced environment , multi-task and meet deadlines

We are currently seeking a Labourer for our Seaforth location.  Reporting to the Plant Manager, the ideal candidate will be able to follow direction, adhere to HACCP and CIPRS protocols, and have a strong work ethic and good customer relations shills.  The responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Unloading railcars
  • Safely loading and unloading trucks
  • Bagging of materials
  • General maintenance and yard work
  • filling out paperwork
  • Other duties as required

Please be aware that this job requires that you be able to work in dusty environments.  You must also be willing to work longer than the average 8 hours at certain times of the year.  For example the shifts will be longer during the harvest season.

Duties and responsibilities include:

 Safely setup and load containers, trucks and railcars for shipments of food grains, both bagged and bulk
 Collect samples as product is being bagged and/or loaded
 Perform housekeeping duties as required
 Effectively communicate with others, with respect to plant operations
 Perform general maintenance and yard work

Qualifications are:

 Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision
 Clearly and effectively complete documentation as required
 Ability to handle 50kg bags repeatedly
 Ability to work well with others
 Ability to work in a dusty environment (allegories and/or Asthma can be problematic)
 Employee should be comfortable working with heights and/or elevated platforms
 Willing and able to work all shifts; overtime is frequently available
 Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
 Knowledge of the safe operation of basic hand/power tools
 Forklift, wheel loader, and/or tractor-trailer experience would be considered an asset
 Ability to perform physical tasks that require you to ascend and descend stairs, ladders, etc.
 Above average attendance
 Clear understanding of Occupational Health and Safety requirements
 Valid Driving license is required

The Labourer must provide his or her own CSA approved steel-toed work boots. Additional safety gear such as hard hat, ear and eye protectors required by OH & S will be provided. The Labourer will report directly to the Cleaning Plant Manager and the Operations Manager.
